Celebrating 4 Years of physicswithkeith.com

Happy birthday to me! The Physics With Keith website physicswithkeith.com is now four years old!

Not only that, but Google said there’s been a whopping 30 clicks last month! 🙄

Okay, so it doesn’t appear high on search ratings, but since starting the website there have been 17,349 visits from 4,388 visitors (that’s just those with cookies enabled)! Over 15,000 of those visits were from within the UK. The most popular link clicked on my websites is the one that takes enrolled tutees to the interactive whiteboard during tuition sessions (clicked over 300 times) and the most downloaded file is the list of GCSE physics lesson videos with QR codes to the right timestamps in the videos (downloaded 44 times), closely followed by my certificates, downloaded 38 times. I’ve typed over 50,000 words in 2024 alone and posted 87 weblog posts!

I’m so grateful to the 4970 subscribers on the YouTube channel too. It is a shame it has never really taken off, except for that blip when I released the video about deriving the speed of light from Maxwell’s equations.

Most of my videos are watched a few hundred times and then disappear into obscurity, with just a few percent of the video being watched on average. I try to imagine what it would look like to see all 4970 subscribers in one place though. It’s not a small number and I’m grateful to all their support!
