No valuables left overnight

In 2020, when I started doing online tuition, my wife prepared a small space for me to broadcast under the stairs.

The space improved over the first year, with the addition of a new computer, lighting, a decent microphone, microphone boom, and acoustic panels, but it was still very small.

For my 40th Birthday, my wife decided I needed a larger space, so she bought me a hut for the garden – some assembly required. Here’s the slideshow…

And since it was built, I’ve moved things around and tweaked things to get it how I want it.

So that’s the story of how I built my hut. I have more upgrades planned, like painting the OSB paneling, installing new blinds, and installing nicer flooring. It’s a space where I can do my physics broadcasts and recording as well as tinker with electronics and robotics, record music, meditate, read, even play games.

But there’s nothing valuable left in it overnight, and it’s got a really sophisticated alarm, so it’s not worth you trying to break in.
