When I was in Geneva in February, someone spotted me and asked me, “are you Astronomy with Keith?” They told me they recognised my voice from my YouTube videos, which their teacher has recommended to them. This was the first time I’d ever been spotted in the wild by someone who recognised me from YouTube and it made me feel like a celebrity. I wished I’d had something to give them to say thanks for watching, like a pin badge.
I had bought a small batch of acrylic badges for my Discord moderators and to give away as prizes, but the quality of them was really poor and the price of them was really high. I’ve still got a few of those badges, but I don’t want to give them out because they fall apart too easily.
A friend of mine who lives in Edinburgh gave me some badges promoting his one-man show. They’re simple badges but the quality was far better. I asked him where he got them from, and he told me he’d got them from a small family-run business in Edinburgh called Edinburgh Badge Makers. I contacted them. And a few days later, I had 100 new pin badges to give out!
I’ve already given about 20 out to various people.

Easter Revision Sessions 2024
I am running two revision sessions this year for those taking their examinations this Summer.
The sessions start at 9am and finish at 12noon, with five minute comfort breaks each hour. The sessions will focus on key skills necessary for success, using exam questions to identify and practise those skills. The sessions are interactive; providing an opportunity for students to do a few hours of active revision with my support and guidance.
The session for GCSE, IGCSE or equivalent students is on 1st April.
The session for A-Level or equivalent students is on 2nd April.
