Best wishes to all students sitting their Physics GCSE Paper 1 this morning. Here are some last minute tips.
- Identify technical words that have been used in the question and haven’t been defined, and define them in your answer
- Identify technical words that haven’t been used in a question and use them in your answer
- Convert quantities, then write equations, then substitute values, then rearrange them, then write the answer, then check for significant figures, then check the unit
- Read questions carefully. Every word has been deliberately selected
- Draw on graphs when you read from them. Use a 30cm clear plastic ruler
- Use bullet points and subheadings in 6 mark answers. Don’t waffle. Don’t bother with sentences
- So not spend too long on a question. If it’s taking more than a minute per mark point, leave it and come back to it later if you have time
- Don’t cross out mistakes in your mathematics, they might not be mistakes
Enjoy your exams, and please do tell me how you found it! See you Thursday for our tuition session.
