Physics Glossary

It was suggested to me (but I cannot remember by whom) that it would be good if I produced an alphabetical list of the physics key words I have been redefining in my series of vertical short-form videos, “Are you ready to relearn English?” I thought it was an excellent idea, so here it is!

Head over to https://www.physicswithkeith.com/glossary to see the full list (so far). I’ll update it when I get the chance.

If you want to see the playlist in chronological order of release, it can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmFthZ_IoSne-_fBvo63udAQ7En0gCM6q

If you have any suggestions of words of you know are used differently by Physicists, let me know in the comments!

Visit to Geneva

Last week I visited Geneva (I’ve been visiting every year since 2013, except for 2020 and 2021 when a global pandemic prevented international travel for school trips.) This February was my eleventh visit, and I’ll be visiting a twelfth time in October this year. This is one of the perks of teaching; school trips!

Whilst I was there, I irritated my colleague by frequently recording short video clips (I brought my tripod with me and invested in a cheap wireless lapel microphone). If you want to see what I got up to, I concatenated the video clips into one long video. You can watch it here:

It may not be the most exciting 68 minutes, but there’s a bit of variety in there, some physics, some comedy, and a whole lot of two-second clips of not much. I even accidentally captured a chance encounter with a few fans! (Or so I thought – watch the video to find out more!)
