New Service: Past Paper Examiner Insights!

I’ve been looking for ways to support students more with their Physics studies and I’ve had an idea. What if I used my expertise as an AQA A-Level Physics Examiner to help students secure more marks in exams?

Mark schemes are written for examiners, not for students’ revision or teachers’ teaching. As an examiner, I regularly have to conduct standardisation exercises and my application of the mark scheme is frequently scrutinised. I can use the knowledge I have gained to help students understand what examiners are looking for, so that they can anticipate what may be on a mark scheme whilst they sit the exam.

I will offer this service for GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level Physics at this time. I do not want to offer it for GCSE Astronomy yet; I have never marked GCSE Astronomy examinations.

New Look Website

I’ve been making some adjustments to the website, including some aesthetic tweaks to the GCSE Physics, GCSE Astronomy and A-Level Physics dashboard pages. See what you think and then do let me know! I’m hoping it looks a little more “professional” and less “physics teacher who has never done any serious web development or UI/UX stuff trying his hand at making WordPress pages using the visual editor“. I guess I fall into both categories.

A New Way To Contact Me

I’ve set up a WhatsApp Business account with a phone number that can be used to contact me in case you want to ask a quick question but don’t want to complete the form or send me an email. The WhatsApp Business number is +44 (0) 7347 251 274. Telephone calls and SMS messages are not received on this number, but you can send a WhatsApp message if you need help getting connected for a tuition session or something like that.
