My most popular video has just exceeded 80,000 views! Eight months ago I recorded a quick video where I derived the speed of light from Maxwell’s Equations because I wasn’t aware of anyone else deriving the speed of light in the same way. That video (embedded below) has been my most successful by far; indeed, it’s really my own successful video.
Thank you to all those who watched it! I hope it was useful. For those who haven’t yet watched it, I used simple wave equations for the electric and magnetic field, and solved Maxwell’s equations for them. Maxwell’s equations describe how electric and magnetic fields interact. From the solution, the speed of the electromagnetic wave in terms of electric permittivity and magnetic permeability was derived. The video shows how to do scalar- and vector-products, partial differentiation, the curl operator and the divergence operator. It is all accessible to students of A-Level Mathematics!
Videos on my channel have racked up 350,000 views in total since the channel was started. I intend to keep making them for as long as people find them helpful.
What would you like me to record a video about? Let me know, and I’ll see what I can do.
