A-Level Physics Lessons

After the success of the GCSE Physics recorded lessons, which can be accessed here, and the GCSE Astronomy recorded lessons, which can be accessed here, I thought it would be a good idea to record A-Level Physics Lessons. The problem is, it would be at least 120 lessons, plus around 20 lessons for practical skills. That’s a lot of presentations to prepare! Instead, I have decided to do no-frills lessons. Just me, my voice, a pen and a blank page.

The first few videos are up already, here. See what you think, you might find them helpful!

GCSE Astronomy Tuition Time This Week

This week, on Saturday 29th March, my daughter is performing on the trombone with her ensemble, so the GCSE Astronomy Tuition session will not be able to take place at the usual time of 10:30am. I have opted to move it to the backup time slot of 5pm on the same day, rather than missing a week (especially because sessions do not take place during school holidays). I had updated this on the calendar, but forgot to tell tutees at the end of last week’s session. I am sorry.

So, Saturday 29th March, the GCSE Astronomy session will take place at 5pm instead of the usual 10:30am. Add the Physics With Keith calendars to your own calendar so you never forget sessions and get notifications!

TikTok “Success”

TikTok is a bin fire. I really do not like it. However, I make videos for GCSE and A-Level Physics students, who are generally aged between 13-18, and they are more likely to use TikTok than YouTube Shorts. In order to reach my target audience, I have had to go where they are. Well, the good news is that my number of followers on TikTok has now exceeded my number of subscribers on YouTube. All I’ve been posting is silly little videos where I give the physics definitions of colloquial English words.

Now I’ve hit the magic number of 10,000 followers, my TikTok channel is now elligible for monetisation. Here comes the big time! I can hope and expect to get about $0.02 for every 1000 views. My videos typcally get around 1000 views, which means I can expect to earn about $0.02 per day from TikTok videos!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; I am not doing this for the money 🤣.
