GCSE Physics six mark calculations

Did you see that I had released a video yesterday where I worked through two GCSE Physics six mark calculations?

In the question from the first part of the video, only 14% of students scored all six marks. 48% of students scored at least five marks. 34% of those who scored five marks usually failed to spot that there were two bungee cords).

In the question from the second part of the video, 30% of students scored all six marks. One silly mistake made the last three mark points inaccessible to 45% of students! (They confused final velocity with mean velocity.) The method I share in this video does cause that misconception and is based on fundamental principles. The full video is below:

These sorts of exam strategies are commonly practised during the weekly tuition sessions, with students getting live feedback while they are working.
